The Vinyl Vault
The Vinyl Vault is a self-directed brand identity project inspired by the rich history and warmth of vintage record shops. This project aims to create a vibrant and inviting identity for a record shop that serves as a community hub for music enthusiasts, celebrating the eclectic and nostalgic nature of classic albums.
Project Objectives
Develop a welcoming and memorable identity rooted in the culture of vintage music.
Capture the nostalgic essence of classic records while modernizing it into a cohesive brand system.
Create branded materials, including embroidered patch designs, a vinyl record label, coffee mugs, and event flyers that enhance the customer experience and foster community engagement.
My Role + Approach
For this concept, I designed the complete visual identity and supporting materials, including:
Custom illustrations for embroidered patches that reflect the eclectic spirit of the shop and its curated selection.
A distinctive vinyl record label that embodies the retro vibe, using dynamic typography and nostalgic motifs.
Branded coffee mugs designed to evoke a sense of community and warmth, perfect for music lovers to enjoy while they browse.
Event flyers that capture the shop's vibrant energy and promote gatherings that connect music enthusiasts.
Outcome
The resulting identity is vibrant, eclectic, and distinctly inviting—striking a balance between modern design and the nostalgic charm of vintage records. This project showcases my strengths in visual storytelling, community-focused branding, and the creation of cohesive brand systems that resonate with diverse audiences.
